a) To provides alternative dispute resolution services to individuals and business and to administer arbitration, mediation, and adjudication schemes an behalf of trade associations, professional bodies and individual companies.
b) To provides the service of mediation for travel and tour operator disputes relating to personal injury and misappropriation of travel conducting and planning.
c) To provides the adjudication for disputes over telecommunications and internet provision within Malaysia.
d) To provides for the conciliation and arbitration of consumer goods, products and services.
e) To provides the conciliation and arbitration of leasing and consumer credit and any other schemes conducted by the financial institution relating to money lending, mortgaging, insurance claim, trusteeship and negotiable instruments whether contractual or not.
f) To provides scheme for the adjudication of shipping merchants, maritime management, voyaging and harboring of cargoes dispute, insurance and adjusting manner.
g) To provides for the settlement of dispute in building industry and in the construction of road, rails, bridges and sewerages in accordance with the provision of the Act and these Rules.
h) To provides the list of selected, qualified and experienced arbitrators to be on the panel of arbitration proceeding in conformity with their own disciplines such as civil and mechanical engineering, surveying, architectural, accountancy, corporate and management, legal practising, stock broking, commodity trading, financing, insurance industry, production and consumerism, etc;
i) To promote the potential of arbitration scheme in Malaysia in the widest sense and demonstrate, wherever possible, that the principles of arbitration have asound and practical application not only in dealing with most most contemporary commercial disputes but also as a process ideally suited a disagreements that necessarily need fast resolution. j) To promote and provides wherever possible the scheme of arbitral process in any matters relating to trade union disputes, workmen compensation, labour dispute and dismissal whether in public or private sectors.
k) To make known and futher the objects and activities of the Establisment by the distribution of papers, journal other publication and by advertising in any medium or by any means thought desirable.
